FERPA Training

This online module takes approximately 15 to 20 minutes to complete and provides you with training needs relating to student education records. This course covers important legal terms related to the Family Education Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), the general responsibilities of staff members under FERPA, FERPA鈥檚 rules regarding confidentiality and disclosure, and the rights of students to access and inspect their own education records kept by the school.

Steps:

  1. Log in to your TRACKS accounts
  2. Click Continue and it will direct you to HSI website
  3. On your HSI Dashboard, select View Catalog
  4. Search for FERPA, select FIT- FERPA: Confidentiality of Records course
  5. The course will launch to complete
