Personal Overview
Dr. Fleming鈥檚 specialty is in the area of composite materials and aerospace structures. His primary interest is in the area of structural analysis, particularly with respect to composite structures. He is interested in the crash behavior of vehicles and the computer modeling of structures under crash conditions. Previous research has studied the application of composites to crashworthy structures. He has also been involved in the development of design concepts for lightweight space structures. Other research interests include the finite element method.
